VIDEO Media Refuse To Call Out Schiff Lies – Dems Intel Committee keep impeachment facts hidden from public

By Nick Givas

Congressional Democrats are skirting the past precedent of using the Judiciary Committee to impeach the president, and are instead relying on the House Intelligence Committee to shroud their work in darkness and keep vital facts hidden from the public, said Wall Street Journal columnist Kim Strassel.

“I think the reason they are doing it through House Intelligence is so that they can keep everything secret, keep this whistleblower identity secret and the nature of some of the claims,” she claimed Sunday on “The Journal Editorial Report.”

“But that’s not very encouraging to the public,” Strassel continued. “I think the other thing they’re doing is not holding a formal vote to have an impeachment inquiry and setting out the rules — they’ve been denying Republicans the right to take part in some of this. These are all at variance with what past probes have done.”

Strassel also said Democrats have obstructed the White House from participating in the impeachment process and have completely ignored past precedent and normal decorum.

“The House is not following the usual procedures, not allowing the White House to take part in things like asking witnesses questions or cross-examining them or calling them,” she said.

“Since impeachment is a political tool, the goal of it is to convince the public that you are doing things in a fair and just manner, and they’re certainly not, because they’re not abiding by any of the past courtesies or standards that impeachment probes use.”

Dan Bongino: Most of media refuses to call out Adam Schiff’s false claims

By David Montanaro

Most of the mainstream media refuses to call out House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., over his false claims about his contact with the whistleblower who reported President Trump’s call with Ukraine’s leader, Fox News contributor Dan Bongino argued Monday.

Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, pointed out on “Fox & Friends” that Schiff was rated “four Pinocchios” by The Washington Post for claiming he did not have advanced knowledge of the whistleblower’s concerns about the phone call between Trump and the Ukrainian president.

“The story Adam Schiff told is simply not accurate. There was no quid pro quo, … his staff did meet with people associated with the whistleblower,” said Bongino, labeling Schiff as “brave about his dishonesty.”

“He goes out and speaks to the nation about evidence he doesn’t have, frequently.”

Four Pinocchios: Adam Schiff called out for false claim on whistleblower

Schiff admitted on Sunday in a CBS interview that he should have been clearer about his contact with the whistleblower.

Fox News reported earlier this month that the intelligence community whistleblower did not disclose contact with Schiff’s staff to the intelligence committee inspector general (ICIG).

The sources said ICIG Michael Atkinson told lawmakers in a closed session that the whistleblower did not disclose the contact with the California Democrat’s committee and that Atkinson didn’t investigate that contact as he had no knowledge of it.

Sources also told Fox News that Atkinson revealed that the whistleblower volunteered he or she was a registered Democrat and that they had a prior working relationship with a prominent Democratic politician.

Bongino said overall, “very few” media outlets have been questioning Schiff’s story, claiming members of the White House national security staff have left to work with Schiff on the Intelligence Committee.

“Nothing illegal, but I’m suggesting it’s unusual, no? Why would you do that? These people still have professional contacts from where the leak we know emanated from, the National Security Council,” said Bongino.

Shifty Schiff Now Saying Congress Doesn’t Need To Interview Whistleblower After All Which Is Raising Suspicions

Shifty Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) now says that testimony from the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of the House impeachment inquiry against President Trump may no longer be necessary.

I’m telling you this dude has lost his freaking mind.

Pencil-neck told Margaret Brennan during an interview on CBS’s ‘Face the Nation,’ “Given that we already have the call record, we don’t need the whistleblower who wasn’t on the call to tell us what took place during the call,”

“Before the president started threatening the whistleblower ,we were interested in having the whistleblower come forward. Our primary interest right now is making sure that that person is protected,” he said.

Schiff acknowledged he initially supported the whistleblower testifying about the Aug. 12 complaint, which centered on a July 25 phone call Trump had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, The Daily Caller News Foundation reported.

“Given that we already have the call record, we don’t need the whistleblower who wasn’t on the call to tell us what took place during the call, we have the best evidence of that,” Schiff said on “Face the Nation.” “It may not be necessary to take steps that might reveal the whistleblower’s identity to do that, and we’re going to make sure we protect that whistleblower.”

The Democrat has slowly pulled back his preference for the whistleblower to testify after it was revealed Oct. 2 that the CIA analyst had contact with a Schiff aide prior to filing the complaint Aug. 12.

In interviews leading up to the release of the whistleblower complaint, Schiff implied he had no insight into who the whistleblower was, or what they were alleging.

Margaret Brennan, the host of “Face the Nation,” did not ask Schiff questions about his office’s interactions with the whistleblower. She asked Schiff in the closing seconds of her show if he regretted saying in an interview Sept. 17 that “we have not spoken directly with the whistleblower.”

“We would love to talk directly with the whistleblower,” Schiff said in that interview.

Schiff said Sunday he should “have been much more clear” about his office’s contacts with the whistleblower.

Schiff acknowledged Sunday that he initially wanted the whistleblower to testify, but that he has changed his mind after Trump “started threatening the whistleblower and threatening others.”

Schiff noted Trump has referred to the unidentified whistleblower as a spy and traitor.

“Our primary interest right now is making sure that that person is protected. Indeed, now there’s more than one whistleblower, that they are protected,” Schiff said.

House Democrats have given indications that they were shifting away from pushing for the whistleblower’s testimony.

“Schiff may not want the whistleblower to testify anymore because the whistleblower would have to reveal more details about this cooperation with Schiff,” the Republican source told the DCNF.
